I have over 10 years experience working in outpatient substance abuse. Since 2007 I have been working with families in the greater Sacramento area, including Fair Oaks, Folsom, Roseville, Granite Bay, Rocklin, Carmichael, El Dorado Hills, and Gold River. I was the Associate Clinical Director of one of the premier outpatient programs in the greater Sacramento area. Whether your child is in the early stages of experimentation and early substance abuse or in the grips of full blown chemical dependency and denial I am able to offer a multi-layered structured approach geared at helping them get well.
- Substance Abuse: Education, early intervention, and chemical dependency.
- Mental Health: Depression, anxiety, PTSD, and more.
- Trauma: Recovering from sexual, physical, emotional abuse, and relational trauma.
Leveraging People and Connections in the Recovery Community.
Being active in recovery myself, I enjoy working with men and women who are already sober and are looking to continue growing and working on any struggles they still have.
While 12 step communities can be an invaluable resource, some do not feel they are the right fit and many people benefit from outside help or just need a safer, more confidential setting to open up. Others benefit from the 12 steps but still struggle with deeper issues the steps have a difficult time resolving. I enjoy helping people achieve not just sobriety but overall wellness.
While substance abuse is a large part of what I do, it does not soley define my practice. In fact, at the root of most addictions is a variety of mental health conditions. I am familiar with treating these issues whether substance abuse is a factor or not.
I have experience – and much success – helping people recover from PTSD, Bi-Polar, Depression, Anxiety, Self-Harm, Self-Esteem issues, and family issues, in the absence of addiction.
